What is a mandala
A mandala (click here to pronounce\ˈmən-də-lə\) is a visual representation of the universe. The center of the mandala is a place of serenity, in our case the heart. The heart is accessed by gates at the four ordinal points, North, South, East and West. The center is surrounded by concentric circles which move from the most intimate to the most distant. This is your personal love mandala. This is perfect metaphor for the way we experience love. At The Love Mandala we use this symbol both as a way to teach and a structure to help you identify and remember various aspects of expressing love. A mandala is also a complex, symmetrical, geometric shape which is great for coloring, and we’re all for that! Download a free mandala coloring page here.
Umm, so your logo kinda looks like...
Our logo symbolizes all the ideas and aspirations for The Love Mandala. At the center is a lotus which is considered a symbol for enlightenment in many traditions. The heart shape represents a blooming or growing heart. The tendrils frame the four ordinal points or the gates to the heart center. Underlying it all is the idea that we want to help you awaken your heart and live fully in love with every aspect of your life. Yeah, we know it looks like fallopian tubes ... that’s fine with us, maybe even intentional.
